With a modestly successful first year, Velvet Pig decided to invest our own money in creating a spec piece short sports commercial. Shooting in a black box studio with fake grass laid to fool the camera, the Racal Decca RFC team would run through scrums, rucks, mauls and tackles.
The project helped reaffirm our interest in sports content and gave all involved an opportunity to flex their creative muscles and create something styled very differently from a lot of our everyday work.
